On 15th August 1977, a signal was discovered by the Big Ear telescope in Ohio. The signal was recorded whilst the researchers were asleep, but once they looked at the data, they circled the hallmark of the signal and penned "wow!" next to it.
The theory is that this could have been a signal from an interstellar intelligent spaceship, which was picked up from the constellation of Sagittarius. Unfortunately the signal has never been found again, and the jury is still out as to what the signal was.
James McFadyen's fast-slow-fast composition is a homage to this event, and is the perfect classical rock piece to showcase your band. There are lots of epic moments and interesting interplay of rhythm between different instrumental parts.
