This compendium of six popular Scottish folk songs starts with a brief hearing of My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose and continues with the well-known Annie Laurie. Other Scottish tunes include the official Scottish National Anthem (Scotland the Brave), Loch Lomond, Ye Banks Ye Braes and Auld Lang Syne.
Ideally suited to bands of around 3rd section in standard, but bands that fall below this standard may find this an ideal piece to work on, particularly in cases where conductors want to train the band to read and play more complex rhythms.
