A lively fanfare to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the RAF. Premiered by the Malton White Star Band in the summer of 2018, a recording by Hendon Band of the Salvation Army conducted by Stephen Cobb is now available in the demos tab.
The RAF was formed close to the end of the first World War in 1918 and was the largest air force in the world. In the 20th Century, it played a significant role in World War II, and is noted to have been instrumental in the Battle of Britain. Today, the RAF plays a vital role delivering aid, preventing conflict, responding to threats and combating cyber threats across 4 continents.
The RAF strategy is based on 3 key elements: focus on people; deliver on operations; grow the front-line. This strategy is at the heart of everything they do and ensure that the RAF use the full talents of their people to identify and explore opportunities within an inclusive and diverse team.
In 1930, a charity was set up to support the RAF family, today you will know this charity by the name of The RAF Association.
