Camptown Races is one of the most famous and recognisable tunes of all time, written by American songwriter Stephen Foster. In this brass band arrangement of Camptown Races, the arranger has chosen to slow the tempo right down and paint a unique take on this classic tune.

It was written at the request of the University of Salford for a charity concert in response to the Japan Tsunami in 2011, conducted by Richard Evans.

Despite the change in direction in this arrangement, there is a delightful familiarity present, and audiences will certainly revel in the emotion present, particularly in the final section.
