Stephen Latham

Stephen Latham grew up on the North West of England and started playing the euphonium at school before joining the East Lancs Paper Group Band, which was then in the Championship Section and subsequently the Eagley Band. On moving to university to study music, he focused on cello playing and has for many years played in various amateur orchestras and chamber groups.

He has written range of pieces for orchestral, chamber and choral groups, which received numerous public performances and won a number of prizes. After a long gap from the brass band world, Stephen recently took up the euphonium again and joined the Bratton Silver Band. He has subsequently written and had performed a number of pieces for brass band
