Roger Moisan

Roger Moisan is a professional musician of more than 30 years experience and is based in London.
After studying at Trinity College of Music, London, Roger pursued a successful trumpet playing career, including performances in a number of West End productions such as Les Miserables, Copacabanna, Halbwelt Kutur and also appearing at the Edinburgh Festival. He has also performed with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and various solo recitals in London and Southampton. Furthermore, he appeared as a guest soloist with the acclaimed Corelli Ensemble, founded by the cellist Adrian Shepherd MBE and has featured on a number of BBC recordings, including the contemporary opera La Malinche by the composer Paul Barker.
Roger has performed regularly with members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, under conductor David Angus. He has also appeared on BBC television, performing Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. He rose to become principal trumpet with the London Contemporary Music Group, as well as playing with the Central Band Royal British Legion,(2010-2016) and the Association Band Guards Household Division (2016-2020). Roger is currently principal trumpet with Bromley Symphony Orchestra in South London.
As well as being an accomplished player, Roger is also a prolific composer for brass, orchestra and choir, with performances in both the UK and overseas. In 2018, Roger became a judge for the BASCA Brass Band section (British Academy of Song writers, Composers and Authors), which is part of the Ivor Novello Awards.
